1. Introduction

At Platamax, we take your privacy very seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our financial management platform.

2. Use of Google Data (Gmail)

Platamax requests access to your Google account using the gmail.readonly permission.

What exactly do we do?

  • Selective Scanning: We only read emails coming from authorized banking domains (e.g., bcp.com.pe, bbva.com.pe, interbank.pe).
  • Transaction Extraction: Our algorithm scans for amounts, dates, and merchant names to automate your expense tracking.
  • No Email Body Storage: We do not store the full content of your personal emails in our database, only the extracted financial data.

3. Data Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure

Platamax does not share, sell, transfer, or disclose Google user data (including email content, access tokens, or extracted financial transactions) to any third parties, advertising networks, data brokers, or external entities under any circumstances. Furthermore, Platamax does not use, and will not allow third parties to use, Google user data to train, develop, or improve machine learning or artificial intelligence models. All data is processed securely and is used strictly to display your personal financial dashboard inside our application.

4. Data Security

We use bank-grade encryption (AES-256-GCM) to protect your access tokens. Your Google credentials are never visible to the Platamax team or any third parties.

5. User Rights

You can revoke Platamax's access to your Google account at any time from your account settings or directly from Google's security panel.

Platamax's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
